The Elementary Art Department begins the year with a school wide, collaborative art project. This year, students studied Mary Blair, the art she created for Disney in the 1960s, and her paintings of castles. Students then designed a square focusing on shapes and symmetry. All the squares were put together to create a large castle that will adorn Merrimac's hallway for the remainder of the year.
